Biodiversity in Cities - AFD Technical Guide
This guide by AFD Group supports urban actors in integrating biodiversity into city planning and public policies. It provides a practical framework and data-driven insights to value biodiversity’s contribution to health, well-being, employment, climate resilience, and risk reduction. Moving beyond generic nature-based solutions, it promotes a contextual “nature-based design” approach tailored to each territory’s environmental, social, and economic realities. Developed in line with AFD’s €1 billion biodiversity commitment by 2025, the guide aims to foster more resource-efficient, fair, and attractive cities worldwide.
