UTMC Regional Conference in South Korea - Advancing Urban Transitions in East Asia

Goyang City, South Korea – 15 April 2025 Policymakers, city officials, researchers, and climate leaders from across East Asia convened in Goyang for the regional event Cities of the Future: Energy and Digital Pathways to Climate Neutrality, organised by the Urban Transitions Mission Centre (UTMC). Held as a side event to ICLEI’s World Local Government Climate Summit, and co-hosted by the European Network of Living Labs (ENoLL) and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG), the event focused on the essential role of East Asian cities in advancing digital innovation and clean energy solutions. Discussions explored how these pathways can support the shift to climate-neutral, resilient, and inclusive urban futures.
