Reimagining financing for the SDGs - from filling gaps to shaping finance - UN DESA Policy Brief No. 170 (Special Issue)

The report highlights that current financing approaches are failing to achieve the SDGs, focusing too much on mobilizing additional funds rather than embedding SDGs in economic systems. It calls for reshaping the financing architecture by placing SDGs at the center of planning, using public investment pipelines to guide private investments, embedding SDG-driven conditionalities in public-private partnerships, and effectively utilizing existing public funds.
