Module 3 core session: How might we design an effective climate action plan for and with the city with those responsible for its implementation after?

By the end of the module participants will:
- Understand the value of using economic modelling tools to support data-informed, systemic and strategic climate planning
- Gain hands-on experience with the NetZeroPlanner tool, which allows cities to identify their main emission domains, explore high-impact levers of change, simulate decarbonisation scenarios, and assess the economic implications of climate action.
- Explore examples from other cities, focusing on their experience with the tool and the insights it can generate to support decision-making.
- Be briefly introduced to approaches for translating strategic scenarios into systemic implementation pathways, including a short overview of how to start structuring and monitoring actions at portfolio level through Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) frameworks.
