INCLUSIVITY GUIDE: For energy communities

Inclusion is important for the energy transition for many reasons. From an energy democracy perspective, everyone should be able to participate and enjoy the benefits of the energy transition, provided they accept the associated responsibilities. Inclusion is also the process of ensuring equal access to clean and affordable energy for all individuals. Cities and towns are also very powerful forces for implementing climate policies that can promote greenhouse gas emissions reductions while taking on board climate justice and inclusion concerns, thus reducing the risk of adverse impacts.
